TAR-200 with or without cetrelimab for treating Bacillus Calmette-Guerin naïve high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer

TAR-200 +/- cetrelimab is in clinical development for the treatment of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) naïve high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (HR-NMIBC). Bladder cancer occurs when cancerous cells develop in the lining of the bladder. Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) is the most common type of bladder cancer and is categorised by risk (low, medium and high). HR-NMIBC is when cancerous cells are more likely to persist or return after treatment, meaning that people with this condition might require additional treatment and monitoring. Symptoms of NMIBC include, but are not limited to, blood in the urine and urination problems. There remains unmet need in the treatment of high-risk NMIBC as recurrence and progression remains common.
