Somapacitan for Turner syndrome

Somapacitan is in clinical development for the treatment of Turner syndrome. Turner syndrome is a genetic disorder that only affects females and leads to a wide range of symptoms and some
distinctive characteristics. Almost all individuals with Turner syndrome are shorter in height than average and have underdeveloped ovaries. Other characteristics associated with the condition
can vary a lot between individuals. The condition affects around 1 in every 2000 baby girls. One of the current treatments for Turner syndrome is having daily injections of growth hormones. However, these daily injections can be a burden to children and their parents/ carers.
