Pozelimab with cemdisiran for treating generalised myasthenia gravis

Pozelimab with cemdisiran is currently in development for the treatment of generalised myasthenia gravis (gMG). Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a long-term condition that causes muscle weakness with the muscles around the eyes usually affected first. gMG begins in the eyes and spreads to other muscle groups in the body. This type is more common. MG is more common in women than men. Symptoms usually start in women under 40 years and men over 60 years, but the condition can affect people of all ages. Current treatment aims to keep the symptoms of MG under control so that the patient can live as close to a normal life as possible. However, these treatments often cause long-term side effects that can be intolerable for patients, and some individuals become refractory.
