Nivolumab with chemotherapy for previously untreated Classical Hodgkin lymphoma in people aged 12 years and older

Nivolumab in combination with chemotherapy is in clinical development for treatment of newly diagnosed classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL). cHL is a type of cancer that develops in the lymph system, part of the immune system which protects the body from infection and disease. cHL is caused by genetic mutations which lead to the uncontrolled growth of abnormal B cells. Symptoms of cHL may include painless, swollen lymph nodes around the neck, underarm or groin, unexplained fevers, night sweats, unexplained weight loss and itchy skin. Current treatments for newly diagnosed cHL can be associated with severe side effects, and may not be well tolerated therefore there is a need for a new effective treatment.
