Mezigdomide with bortezomib and dexamethasone for treating relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma

Mezigdomide in combination with bortezomib and dexamethasone is being developed as a treatment for adults with multiple myeloma that has returned or stopped responding after one to three prior therapies, including lenalidomide. Multiple myeloma is a type of blood cancer in which plasma cells in the bone marrow grow uncontrollably. This can cause bone pain, kidney problems, anaemia, and frequent infections. Patients whose disease progresses despite treatment have limited options, and new therapies are needed to overcome drug resistance and improve outcomes.
