Isatuximab with bortezomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone for treating patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma who are eligible for autologous stem cell transplant

Isatuximab in combination with lenalidomide, bortezomib and dexamethasone is in development for the treatment of newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM) in patients who are eligible for autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT). ASCT uses the patient’s own stem cells harvested from the bone marrow
and collected from the blood. MM is a type of blood cancer that develops from plasma cells in the bone marrow. Relapse (the return of disease after a period of improvement) is common in patients with MM, indicating a need for new treatment approaches.
