Imsamotide with etimumotide and in combination with pembrolizumab for treating advanced melanoma

Imsamotide with etimumotide and in combination with pembrolizumab is being developed for the treatment of advanced melanoma, a type of skin cancer that begins in pigment-producing cells called melanocytes. Melanoma can become life threatening if it spreads to other parts of the body, such as the lungs, liver, or bones. Symptoms may include new or changing moles, bleeding, itching, or changes in skin texture or colour. Advanced melanoma is often more difficult to treat, particularly in people who have not received cancer treatment before. While current treatments that help the immune system to fight cancer have improved outcomes for many patients, not everyone responds to these treatments, and some cancers may return. Hence a need for additional treatment to compliment them.
