Iberdomide with dexamethasone and daratumumab for treating relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma

Iberdomide with dexamethasone and daratumumab is currently in development for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. Bone marrow, which is found inside bones, is where blood cells are made. Myeloma happens when the bone marrow makes certain blood cells (plasma cells) that do not work properly. Relapsed myeloma means that the disease has returned after responding to treatment. Refractory myeloma means that the disease no longer responds to a specific treatment. Symptoms of multiple myeloma include: bone pain, tiredness, muscle weakness, headaches, weight loss, broken bones (fractures), lots of infections or infections that do not go away, and shortness of breath. Outcomes for patients with disease progression are poor, therefore there is a need to develop new treatment options for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
