Glofitamab for treating relapsed or refractory mantle cell lymphoma

Glofitamab is in clinical development for the treatment of relapsed or refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). MCL is a rare type of blood cancer that affects white blood cells called B cells, which normally help fight infection. MCL develops when abnormal B cells build up in the body forming tumours, resulting in problems within the lymphatic system (part of the immune and circulatory systems) or the organ where they are growing. MCL can be difficult to treat because it often comes back after treatment (relapsed) or does not respond well to treatment (refractory). The outcome for patients with relapsed or refractory MCL remains poor, so there is a need to develop additional treatment options.
