Epcoritamab with R-CHOP for newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

Epcoritamab + R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone) is currently in clinical development for the treatment of newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). DLBCL is a type of blood cancer that develops when white blood cells, called lymphocytes, grow out of control. The affected lymphocytes lose their infection-fighting ability making the body more susceptible to infection. The most widely used treatment for DLBCL presently is R-CHOP, which is an immunochemotherapy (a combination of immunotherapy and chemotherapy drugs). R-CHOP is an accepted standard treatment for patients with previously untreated DLBCL; however, approximately 40% of patients are either not cured or require further treatment.
