Cenobamate is in clinical development as an adjunctive therapy for adults with primary
generalized tonic-clonic (PGTC) seizures. A generalised tonic-clonic seizure is the type of epileptic
seizure which is defined as a seizure that has a tonic phase (stiffening of the muscles) followed by
clonic muscle contractions (rhythmical jerking).
