Atezolizumab with bacillus calmette-guerin for treating non-muscle invasive bladder cancer

Atezolizumab in combination with Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) is in clinical development for the treatment of non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). Bladder cancer is a disease in which certain cells in the bladder become abnormal and multiply uncontrollably to form a tumour. It is called non-muscle invasive when the cancerous cells are only inside the lining of the bladder.
