Dr Christopher Marshall is a Principal Research Associate in Health Data Science and Lead for Data Science and AI at the NIHR Innovation Observatory. He directs the development and application of data science methodologies that support horizon scanning and evidence synthesis, driving the identification and analysis of emerging health technologies.
With a strong background in evidence synthesis, Chris has held roles in academia and consultancy, contributing to major public health projects funded by organisations such as the NHS, NIHR, NICE, WHO, and the Department of Health and Social Care. In his prior role at York Health Economics Consortium, he directed review and evidence synthesis projects primarily for industry and pharmaceutical clients. Chris holds a PhD and BSc in Computer Science from Keele University.
