The Innovation Observatory is the gateway to the NICE Technology Assessment (TA) Programme for industry, preventing delays in bringing new and repurposed medicines to the UK market through the early identification and tracking of new and repurposed medicines and health technologies.

Earlier this year, ESPDX took part in the Innovation Observatory’s Industry Sprint which saw a group of national Health and Life Science businesses undertake various sessions with our team over the course of a week. We guided them through how to use our data and resources to aid a detailed market assessment, competitive market & gap analysis and by bringing in funding experts from the wider ecosystem they were able to utilise this evidence in their grant applications and investor pitches.
From this ESPDX produced a competitive market analysis, a report and a finalised study achieved by horizon scanning. The competitive market analysis identified who the key companies are within the Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diagnostic market along with in-depth background information plus companies’ perceived strengths and weaknesses and the key ‘takeaway’s from this task. A list of potential funders was identified for ESPDx along with an extensive list of Pipeline Technologies (drugs) for Dementia with Lewy Bodies Related conditions with relevant links to research further.
