Ensuring that health care innovation of value can realise its full potential is not a task that we undertake alone. We work closely with a range of national stakeholders from the government, regulators, industry, patients, citizens, and the NHS.
The Innovation Observatory is the gateway to the NICE Technology Assessment (TA) Programme for industry, preventing delays in bringing new and repurposed medicines to the UK market through the early identification and tracking of new and repurposed medicines and health technologies.

Earlier this year, LightOx took part in the Innovation Observatory’s Industry Sprint which saw a group of national Health and Life Science businesses undertake various sessions with our team over the course of a week. We guided them through how to use our data and resources to aid a detailed market assessment, competitive market & gap analysis and by bringing in funding experts from the wider ecosystem they were able to utilise this evidence in their grant applications and investor pitches.
The reports that LightOx produced contained in-depth competitor information and funds of interest from the UK to Europe to worldwide.
LightOx have since been working on their investment and funding pitches, incorporating the information they gained from using Innovation Observatory’s resources.
